Spelling Bee Stars
Our Spelling Bee at Cream today went 30 + rounds - the competition was fierce. Coming out on top was Jeylinin Marte, an absolutely outstanding speller from 4th grade. In 2nd place was 8th grader Davonna Collier. They were followed by Tamiya Dickerson, Siani Davis, and Trae Walker all in 6th grade. We wish them all well in the district competition.
Junior Achievement of New Jersey Comes to Cream
Verizon and students from Brimm Medical Arts partnered together to bring Junior Achievement to Cream School. All students in Grades K through 5 experienced having a volunteer(s) in thier room for a day. Junior Achievement uses hands-on experiences to help young people understand the business of life. In partnership with business and educators, Junior Achievement brings the real world to students, opening their minds to their potential and preparing them for the world of work.
5th Grade Holiday Celebration
The fifth grade team researched three winter holidays and planned various activities to integrate the holiday season with a fun social studies learning experience.
The Final Harvest of 2011
Our PreK children from Ms. Harris' class picked the last of the collard greens this morning. To everyone's surprise a beautiful green pepper was also found. Everyone is looking forward to planting once again next spring.

From "Farm To Fork" at Cream
Some of our students got to enjoy a "Farm to Fork" meal. The classes that were the first to turn in all necessary parent forms were invited to eat the cabbage and eggplant that was grown in Cream's backyard. Our principal added Chicken to complete the meal.
A Vision Fulfilled - Gender-Based Classes Grades 4 thru 8
After hours and hours of planning, Cream unveiled the class lists for the 2011 - 2012 school year and students in grades 4 thru 8 found themselves in gender-based classrooms. Each grade level does contain one class that is composed of boys and girls. Follow along with us this year as the students progress on this journey. We will be publishing students' thoughts and reactions throughout the school year.

Important Information for Parents - School Uniform Change
There is a change in the uniform colors this year. The uniform bottoms for all students will be khaki but color of the tops vary according to the floor the student is on. Thank you for adhering to this new uniform code.
3rd Graders Attack Bullying
The students in Mrs. Nelson-Daniels' Classroom made a fantastic video on Bullying to help other students realize what bullying is and how it affects the student that is being bullied. They are showing the video to other classrooms in the building. Please check the video out in our Video Gallery.
